Annual Report for MSH

The problem

The company had a legacy of publishing annual reports and other printed material.

Using photographs from the company’s employees

In order to keep the stories engaging and relevant we used as much photographs as we could from the employees who had been to the country setting up the programs.

The process

This created a strong attachment to what was being said and the copy was always reviewed many times for language, accuracy, grammar and style.

The solution

For this particular cover we ended up cropping an image and using another one for the background in order to hide the garbage cans that were in the original shot. The photograph was so strong that I wanted the text to vanish and I kept it simple and unobtrusive.

Advertizing

Newspaper ad

For the 40th anniversary of the company we promoted heavily our work around the world and placed an ad in USA Today. It was good to do some color correction on it before printing as newspaper tends to be of lesser quality. Everyone was pleased with the result.

We were featured on a major newspaper

This Ad was run in USA Today for the fortieth anniversary describing the work that was being done in Afghanistan.

Postcards

This series of postcard was part of the company’s 40th anniversary advertising a couple of events at MIT. The difficulty was in copy fitting while keeping most of the text.
